Friends, I was privileged to be one of the keynote speakers at the 2013 Michigan CPAC. Luncheon this weekend.

The Lord moved my spirit to challenge the Conservatives in attendance to understand that “Righteousness Exalts A Nation” and, aside from God, no manner of Conservatism will matter!

This was a “coming to Jesus” moment that indicted division, slandering, backbiting and all those things which would beset the success of any legitimate outreach efforts of true Conservative.

It is a message, in my humble opinion, that every Conservative leader and activist should consider.

You be the judge.

“In 1972, a young Philadelphia physician participated in the “Mother’s Day Massacre” where women four to six months pregnant were made guinea pigs for a device called the “super coil”. The super coil consisted of plastic razors that were formed into a ball, coated with a gel and inserted into the woman’s uterus. The gel melted after several hours and the plastic razors sprang open eviscerating the mothers cutting the babies to death. A horrible experiment gone wrong, 9 of the women suffered injuries, and one had to undergo a complete hysterectomy.

The young Philadelphia doctor that helped carry out this “experiment”? His name is Kermit Gosnell, the now 72 year old doctor on trial in Philadelphia for several counts of murder and mayhem.

America, for several weeks now has followed the trial of this doctor and heard of the unspeakable horrors he visited on women and babies for more than thirty years. The trial revealed an abortion center that was not only filthy, but ghoulish, including shelves lined with the feet of babies he had aborted and baby remains stored in plastic bags and in the basement as rat food. There are some in today’s culture that would want us to believe Gosnell was the exception and not the rule in the abortion industry. It is time now we find out if that is indeed the case.

I am compelled to stand with CURE and the Black Prolife Coalition against this kind of atrocity.

I am humbled to announce that I have been asked to participate in the legislative briefing at the Capitol Hill Club, 300 First Street, SE Washington, DC 20003, from 2:00 to 4:00pm (eastern).

At this briefing members of Congress and their staff will be invited to hear the facts about abortion in America.

I am asking my supporters to send me to Washington, DC for this purpose!

I would very much like to stand for Personhood and against the malicious intent of left media, which has attempted to protect a genocidal madman.

“You know what I think of Mr. Parker right now and you know, you’re not even going to like this. He’s just an arrogant n_____, and I’m sorry to say it that way but that’s the way I see Dwayne Parker right now.”

Why did you say that, asked Mitchell. “That’s offensive.”

In subsequent media interviews she said every race uses the n-word and there is nothing wrong with it. In fact Platko added adults taught her the word as a kid, “Look up the definition. I learned that way back in grade school. I learned that at St. Joe’s and Holy Rosary.”

Here, Stacy Swimp is privileged to be given the only exclusive Interview Mr. Mitchell has done since he blew the whistle on the racist behavior of the Township Clerk.

“I’m Black and I’m Gay”- N.B.A. Player, Jason Collins came out to announce his sexual preference. 

Apparently, being homosexual is fashionable in today’s society. More and more people in entertainment and who are public figures are “coming out”.

What humors me is that Collins says: “I am Black and I am gay’, as if one has to do with the other or as if to suggest that his sexual preference is somehow tied to being Black in any shape, form, or fashion.

I don’t care what this man’s preference is. What agitates me is the race politics that he implies and how it perverts the historical struggle of Black Americans.

Sexual preference is not a civil rights issues and, furthermore, who cares if Jason Collins happens to be Black and choose to live a lifestyle of homosexuality.

I also think Colliins is trying to guilt the N.B.A. into making sure he continues to make millions.

This is the most compelling probability.

Just so happens that he is a “Free Agent“, meaning that he currently has no contract with an NBA Team. So if he is not picked up as a free agent, he gets to play victim and claim it is because he is “gay” rather than the fact he is scrub.

How desperate can one be. Good grief.

The sense of entitlement and the petty machinations of many homosexuals truly amazes me at times.

By the way, let me say this in capital letters:

“HOMOSEXUAL AND GAY HAVE NO COMMON MEANING”.

I am tired of the left hijacking words trying to redefine language and culture.

I am also tired of this victim game many are playing because they want validation rather than mere acceptance for who they are and how they choose to live.

Lastly, I truly pray that the NBA does not suddenly become the newest vehicle for the homosexual agenda, out of fear  and false guilt.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie did a robocall urging voters to support the candidate as a fellow “reformer.”

The GOP candidate was Patrick Mara, who claims to be a “social liberal and fiscal conservative“.

Mara’s campaign advocated D.C. statehood, school vouchers and charter schools, gay marriage, and wanted a strong code of ethics in to eliminate public corruption in city government.

Many GOP leaders seem to think Mara had a chance because of special election rules.

That tells me GOP leaders are still incompetent on so many levels.

First of all, there is no such thing as a fiscal conservative and social liberal, for social liberalism always leads to the expansion of centralized government and social chaos.

Second, minority voters overwhelmingly oppose gay marriage. That many Republicans continue to think that trying to “out liberal the liberal” is an effective strategy to win votes is a true testimony of “not paying attention’ at the very least.

The GOP will be able to win local races when candidates run on true Republican values and remain true to the values that many minorities share and have not found in local leaders. Just notice the low turnout for elections in major minority districts. That says the majority don’t have confidence in the Democrats either.

This is a great time for the GOP to show it is the best alternative. That will not happen if it refuses to be a legitimate alternative, however.

Hopefully, the fact this candidate failed to win by trying to push false ideals (social liberal and fiscal conservative) will be an eye opener for those who still hold to such ridiculous notions.

The Davis-Bacon Act is a “Jim Crow Law“, which requires that federal construction contractors pay their workers “prevailing wages”.

The Act was passed by Congress in 1931 with the intent of keeping non-unionized black workers from competing for Construction jobs with white only labor unions.

The Davis Bacon Act is still in effect today and continues to have the same discriminatory today by, marginalizing Black unskilled and non-unionized construction workers.

Repealing the Act would not only end discriminatory practices, but would also save the federal government billions on construction costs and over $100 million annually in administrative costs each year.

Repeal of the Davis Bacon Act would create over 160,000 new construction jobs, most of which would be in urban cities.

President George was a tireless champion of Repealing the Davis Bacon Act, as he felt it sickening it’s impact on Black workers.

When Hurricane Katrina tragically left an entire region buckling, Sen. Ted Kennedy and other Democrats tried to exploit the situation by seeking that the Davis Bacon Act would be enforce in reconstruction projects.

That would have prevented most of the local workers from gaining employment in Construction jobs, particularly minorities.

President George Bush stepped up to the plate and told the Democrat Party that he was not going to allow them to do that to the people of New Orleans and, in particular, to the Black workers in the city.

He suspended the Davis Bacon Act, which allowed countless workers, skilled and unskilled, to work in rebuilding their city. Had President Bush not done so, there is no doubt New Orleans would still be struggling to rebuild infrastructure.

I thank President Bush for being a champion of Labor Freedom and a true Civil Rights Advocate.

President Bush was far more committed to equality and fairness for minorities than Barack Obama, the so called “First Black President’.

“You might be familiar with the media’s mantra: “If it bleeds, it leads.”

Stories with blood and gore always seem to go on the front page.

But an abortionist on trial for 8 counts of murder in the bloody deaths of one mother and seven babies after birth, seems to be an exception to this rule.

All but one of the major news networks have hardly mentioned the trial.

I know that I don’t have to tell you that as a whole, the media is clearly pro-abortion.

They cringe at the thought of discussing the case because they know that if they start discussing Kermit Gosnell’s “House of Horrors”, a whole bunch of other uncomfortable questions that they’d really rather avoid would come to light.

Since you won’t be hearing this from the pro-abortion media, allow me to fill you in.

In February 2010, police raided Kermit Gosnell’s abortion office located at 3801 Lancaster Ave Philadelphia, PA. What they discovered was a butcher shop and a nightmare come to reality.

I warn you – what comes next is terribly graphic. I don’t like describing these horrors — but I also don’t want to be silent about it either. You won’t want to have children near you when you read what I have to tell you.

The room was occupied by drugged women who were bleeding in filthy recliners.

In the basement, they found the remains of 45 aborted babies in jars, bags and other containers.

Leading up to the trial, the extent of Gosnell’s awful butchery came to light.

Because Gosnell would perform abortions no matter how far along the pregnancy was, many of the babies were delivered alive.

This didn’t stop Gosnell from ignoring the law and following through with the death sentence.

Gosnell would stab a pair of scissors through the back of the breathing child’s neck, severing the spine and killing the baby.

Seven babies–that we know of–were killed in this horrific manner.

Ultimately Gosnell was charged with 8 counts of murder in the death of a woman following a botched abortion along with the deaths of 7 babies after birth.

Nine of his staff were also charged with murder, infanticide and abuse of a corpse.

As sick, disgusting and wrong as this is, what does it say about our society that many believe if these babies were killed days earlier, Gosnell would merely have been performing a so-called “normal medical procedure” for these women?

What does it say when tens of thousands of babies are aborted every week in our country?

What really separates Gosnell from a “doctor” who will perform an abortion when a baby is 20 weeks old and not when they are 25 weeks old?

Are they really different?

This is about the 1.5 million babies destroyed by abortionists every year in our country — babies who should have had a chance to grow up and make a life for themselves.

But they never get that chance.

Stories like this break my heart.

But it also strengthens my resolve to fight even harder than before.

“I have made up my mind wherever I go, I shall go as a man and not as a slave. I shall always aim to be courteous and mild in department toward all whom I come in contact, at the same time firmly and constantly endeavoring to assert my equal rights as a man and as a brother”

I decided I would not live as a slave, but as a man.

My story begins in Charleston, S.C., where I was born to a single mother of three. My father was a married man whose wife could not bear children. Unable to care for me, my biological mother gave me to my father and his wife, signing away all rights and setting my life on a journey she would one day come to regret.

My father was a military veteran of 21 years. His wife, who accepted her husband’s infidelity and raised me as her own, was a passive woman who substituted in my elementary school and dedicated most of her life to the education of children.

However, in this home, there were many problems, including alcoholism, domestic violence, denial, and abuse and emotional neglect.

At the age of eight, I was molested by my mother’s brother. In the Black community, there has long been a culture of “hushing” children who have been molested, as we pretended that only white men did such a thing. My family rejected me and defended my assailant. I was further pushed into an emotional isolation and developed a virile hatred of those I once trusted.

I even became disillusioned even towards God.

This young person who was ahead of his class in kindergarten, no longer had the desire to learn. At least not what they were teaching in the classrooms. I had lost my dignity, lost my sense of direction and had no one in my life who seemed to notice or care. I dropped out of school in the 8th grade to pursue life on the streets. I found myself in juvenile centers on several occasions by age 15. By the age of 25, so far removed from the positive early formative years and its learning, I found myself facing life in prison for attempted murder, a senseless and selfish crime.

Like many who have been brainwashed by victimology and blameology, I honestly thought at the time that even this was not fully my responsibility.

I entered the County jail with no skills, no purpose, no sense of identity, and most of all, no concept of personal accountability or responsibility. I had no knowledge of God and no reason to want to live. Then something miraculous happened.

A retired conservative Police Chief, who was a volunteer for “Forgotten Man Ministries”, came and witnessed to me. Unfazed by my ignorance and spiritual blindness, this man eventually led me to a confession of sin, repentance from dead works, and faith towards God.  He became my first mentor.

Over the course of the next 13 years of incarceration, I, like Frederick Douglass, remade myself, by “luck, pluck, and gifts.” I chose to overcome functional illiteracy and eventually became a paralegal whle incarcerated.

While in prison, another man came along who impacted me in a way that will forever be the defining moment in my political life. His name is Gary. He was an elderly conservative from Gaylord, MI.

Gary was a guard in a camp who took a chance on me and risked his job to sneak in a book for me, “It’s OK to Leave the Plantation,” by Mason Weaver.

Weaver’s book “got in my face” and challenged all the social values and concepts I held on to for dear life. It taught me that I had indeed been a slave in a prison far worse than the walls of the MDOC. My mentor, Gary, said that he saw in me someone who would one day lead in an unprecedented manner, if I would have the courage to be true to the calling he believed God had on my life.

He told me that the Republican party was the party of  Frederick Douglass and that he believed I, in many ways, could be a type of Frederick Douglass in the 21st Century GOP.

After I was released,  I found myself living in a homeless shelter, with no community ties, no job skills, and no resources. I did have, however, an uncompromising faith in God, a vision, my Mason Weaver book, and a determination that I would never again be a slave to blame, guilt, fear, bitterness, and excuses.

I also carried in my heart the words, “If no one will help me, I will help myself and then I will help someone else. If no one will make a job for me, I will make a job for myself, and then I will make a job for someone else.”

While living in the shelter,  I volunteered whenever I was not looking for a job. I never once borrowed or complained. I joined a local church and in three weeks, I had an apartment. Within a year, unable to land steady employment, I created an limited liability company and began speaking about how to overcome a troubled past. I bought a new car within six months.

The next year I met another mentor, Jimmy.  A Black Conservative, Jimmy invited me to join his group, The Great Lakes Bay Region African American Leadership Institute, from which I graduated and later advised. In this group, I began meeting Conservative leaders from across Mid Michigan who did not see in me “an ex con,” but as a leader. They did not want to hear any excuses or woeism. They only wanted me to do what I said I would do and be where I said I would be.

Over the next several years, I was the keynote speaker at the Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning’s Regional MLK, Jr. Celebration and would win a Frederick Douglass Service Award given by an affiliate of an National Black Women’s organization. The award was in recognition for my work with juveniles who are similarly situated as I was when I was their age.

I am a “Christian” conservative because I believe the Bible promotes personal responsibility, limited government, free market, individual liberty and strong national defense. God’s Word has made it clear that, from the beginning of the creation of government, the role of government should be to provide godly and ungodly citizens alike the freedom we all require to pursue our own goals or to pursue kingdom purposes, with moral laws established by God setting standards we use to know the difference.

I also believe that Christian Conservative principles offer Black Americans the best opportunity to be self reliant and to rebuild the wastelands that are the legacy liberal leadership in distressed black communities over the past 50 years.

Today, I am the President of the Frederick Douglass Society, a Christian, Education and Public Policy nonprofit organization. I am a proud American who just so happens to be of African descent.  I am the great, great, great, great grandson of Peter Adams, who was an African Slave on a South Carolina  plantation. I have made mistakes and I have learned from those mistakes.

I am, furthermore, a Black man who finds utter disgust in the absolute moral surrender of millions of Black Americans today, who, unlike Frederick Douglass and unlike my ancestor Peter Adams, have no personal experience with chattel slavery or Jim Crow and, thus, have no excuses for not fully embracing the responsibilities of American citizenship.

My story demonstrates that in today’s America, if we, like Frederick Douglass, make up our mind that wherever we go, we shall go as a man and not a slave, the only permanent boundaries around us are those we place ourselves.  It doesn’t matter what obstacles we are born into or what mistakes we have made in our lives. We can, by means of repentance from dead works, faith towards God, personal responsibility and self determination, turn our humble beginnings and failures into stepping stones to success.

Not one has an excuse. Not one has someone or something to blame for not being a voting, participating, productive, and unhyphenated citizen of the United States of America, the greatest country in the world!

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”- Matthew 6:24-34

The National Urban League released their annual report: “State of Black America”, where they alleged that “Blacks have fallen behind in their efforts to reach parity with Whites in several key areas since 2010″.

This reminds me of when I was a kid, many Black Americans equated “success” with living in a predominantly White community or owning material things that they perceived Whites owned.

Some call it “keeping up with the Jones”.

My response to the Urban League, therefore, is that Black Americans should not be aspiring to be reach parity with White Americans, making White Leftist Americans their idols or “masters” (see the above Scriptures).

Instead, Black Americans should be aspiring to be Christlike and submit ourselves to Biblical principles of finances, individual responsibility, strong families, and dependence upon God.

God will bless our obedience to Him, but He will not bless the fantasy or illusion of our trying to obey the racist and shallow concepts of the Urban League.

It is also quite ironic that the Urban League alleges that Blacks are no “on par” with the economic gains of white Americans, even as this racist organization advocates anti-market policies which contribute to the economic gaps they bemoan (i.e., Minimum Wages, Davis-Bacon Act, Prevailing Wages,  Project Labor Agreements, and the attack on Coal)

Hypocrites.
